Counselling Services in Surrey and Across British Columbia

All counselling with Mukesh Mishra, MSW, RCSW is offered online. Whether you are looking for a counsellor in Surrey or somewhere further out in BC, sessions happen by secure video or phone — in English, Hindi, Punjabi, Nepali, Maithili or Bhojpuri.

  • Individual Counselling

For adults experiencing anxiety, depression, stress, trauma, grief, self-esteem concerns, emotional difficulties and life transitions. Sessions are one-to-one and online, so you can meet from wherever you feel private — at home in Surrey or anywhere else in BC.

  • Anxiety & Stress Counselling

Support for persistent worry, overthinking, stress, emotional overwhelm and difficulty managing daily demands. We look at what keeps the worry cycling and build responses that are realistic for your life, not just for a worksheet.

  • Depression & Low Mood

A supportive space to explore persistent sadness, loss of motivation, isolation, negative thinking and emotional exhaustion — including the kind that is easy to hide behind a functioning routine.

  • Trauma & PTSD Support

Trauma-informed counselling for people processing difficult or overwhelming experiences. Nothing is rushed, and you decide how much detail to share and when.

  • Couples Counselling

Support with communication, conflict, emotional connection, trust, relationship distress and rebuilding a healthier relationship. Where it fits the couple, this work can draw on Gottman-informed tools for handling conflict and repair.

  • Family Counselling

Support for family communication, parenting challenges, boundaries, intergenerational conflict and relationship repair — including families where parents and adult children hold different views about independence, marriage, career or faith.

  • Grief & Loss Counselling

Support for people navigating bereavement, significant loss, major life changes and complicated emotions around grief — including grief carried across distance when family is in another country.

  • Cultural Adjustment & Intergenerational Concerns

A culturally responsive space for newcomers, immigrants, first-generation Canadians and people navigating differences between family expectations and personal values. This is where South Asian counselling clients often begin — though the work is shaped by your story, not a category.

  • Anger & Emotional Regulation

Support for understanding emotional triggers, communication patterns and healthier ways of responding, especially when reactions are affecting people you care about.

  • Self-Esteem & Identity

Support for people struggling with confidence, identity, self-worth and major personal transitions — including questions about belonging between cultures.

  • Who these services are for

    Multilingual, Culturally Responsive Support

Clients come to online counselling for many reasons: a Punjabi-speaking parent who wants to talk about family stress without translating it first; a Hindi-speaking professional managing anxiety and workplace pressure; a Nepali-speaking newcomer adjusting to life in a new country; a couple in Surrey who keep having the same argument in two different languages.

Counselling is available for individuals, couples and families, with the same care given to your cultural context as to the concern that brought you here. If you are not sure which service fits, contact Mukesh about online counselling and we can work it out together, or read common questions about counselling.

Counselling does not guarantee a particular outcome, and this page is general information rather than clinical advice.

    Not Sure Where to Start?

You don’t need the right words or a clear diagnosis before reaching out. Tell me a little about what’s going on and we’ll take it from there.
